Job Description

Alahli Bank of Kuwait - ABK Egypt is currently looking for a Treasury Back Office Officer to perform execution of all the money market, capital market and investments deals to ensure that service quality, accuracy and time efficiency are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

• Money Market & Free Market

  1. Execution of payments and confirmation messages using swift for all kinds of deals executed by the front office

  2. Uploading Daily MM deposits done in local currency to CBE via DMMS system

  3. Inserting all entries in the system

  4. Uploading rates on system (against EGP & USD)

  5. Updating daily Free market files on excel sheets

• Fixed Income

  1. Prepare swift messages for all fixed income deals done

  2. Prepare all entries related to fixed income deals

  3. Enter all fixed income entries in ICBS system after verification

  4. Prepare all fixed income reports

• Compliance: compliance with regulatory requirements governing the Treasury Back Office as well as bank’s approved policies & procedures.

• Monitor: all MM. Deals (deposits, FX, swaps, cash deals on Reuters system) and fixed income deals executed by Treasury & Capital Market Division

• Follow up & Handling:

  1. Sending free market (buying & selling all currencies against EGP) reports to CBE on daily basis 2)following up the accuracy of the FX Transactions done by all branches (rates and amounts approved by front office)

  2. Follow up on maturities, coupons dividends & Tax’s on Fixed income

• Filing & E-Archiving: for cash deals, FX trades, free market, liquidity and reserve ratio, MM deposits(local & foreign), treasury bills, mutual funds and bonds (banks, clients) process

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics or relevant discipline

• At least 1 year banking sector experience

• Experience in financial control and cost management

• Working knowledge of operations and trade finance

• Knowledge of banking systems

• Particular knowledge of treasury operations given the additional complexity and scale of treasury settlements, processes etc.
