Job Description
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, we are looking for a mid-level Drupal Web Developer to work with the existing Drupal Web Developer to maintain and build the AUS website, inline with international best practice. The candidate must have exceptional organizational skills, programming skills, problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic. The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks, delivering strong results on time in a constantly changing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Custom programming and web application development for Drupal 7 projects
Multi–site installation experience
Testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing code and sites
Contributing ideas and efforts towards internal projects and working as part of a team to find solutions on various problems
Experience integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems
Proficient in Drupal 7, including custom module development and core API
Proficient in site building, maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites
Solid understanding of jQuery, HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Familiarity with Git
Ability to communicate technical ideas to business users and other teams
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members and work well with others; Desire to jump in and perform code reviews for other team members
Eager to embrace current and emerging web technologies
UI/UX experience
Drupal 8 is a plus
Job Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3 years of Drupal Development experience
Strong candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
Experience working in a higher education environment preferred.
