Job Description
Hill International is seeking to hire Artifacts Coordinators who will be responsible for the physical care of the artifacts in the permanent and temporally collections.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Manage the Museum Artifacts Department.
Compiling and preparing Reports including Review Report, Inception Report, Monthly Progress Reports and the Project Final Report with regards to the Artifacts Management aspects of the Museum.
Overlook, coordinate and follow up on Artifacts Transfer Management scope to the Museum.
Safely handling, deinstalling, packing and moving small and medium artifacts.
Working effectively and cooperatively as leader of a team during complex and coordinates move and inventory activity.
Coordinate the organization of on-site and off-site storage areas.
Cataloging incoming artifacts, numbering artifacts and inventory.
Job Requirements
Degree in Anthropology, Museum Science, History, historic preservation or related field required.
At least 3 years experience working in a museum as an Artifacts/Collection Manager or similar.
Demonstrated knowledge of museum registration procedures, collections records management with ability to work with computerized collections databases and object handling.
Knowledge and experience working with a major collection management database.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
