Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
The job holder is responsible for business development (value creation) to improve the ROCE (HDPE/LLDPE), optimise the products and technology output, cost, quality and efficiency. This is done through co-operation between different stakeholders.
This role includes; aligning business with innovation and operations to improve the overall ROCE of the relevant business (HDPE/LLDPE), develop strategic plans for our assets (PO and/or Olefin/Utilities plants) based on our owners ambitions and business requirements, identify asset development opportunities (Growth, new products and reduced variable costs).
The challenge in performing this role lies in securing an aligned improvement portfolio on both technical assets and business opportunities, which requires a broad knowledge base of Borouge activities.
Identify new projects (new processes or technologies) which will bring value and synergy to Borouge
Evaluate investments and divestments through the build-up of the business case using information from product management. technical department, production and finance
Lead pre-studies and feasibility studies required to develop new projects carry out feasibility studies needed to identify new or changes in products 1 processes which have synergy with Borouge current and future operations
Planning implementation of asset development strategies based on new product introduction schedule
Presenting the projects to leadership and owners
Cooperate in planning, communicating and deploying the technical changes based on input from Innovation Centres regarding introduction of high value products
Coordinate with the General Engineering Services (outsourcing) contractor to execute & manage jobs on hand w.r.t.
process technology selection, feasibility studies, market studies and cost estimation
Target the business integration of the Borouge assets which might have a lot of synergy and also opportunity of global optimisation
Job Requirements
Minimum 8 years experience in similar role
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or relevant degree
Professional Certification in Project Management
Previous exposure to work in olefins/polyolefins manufacturing/conversion technologiesAll-around knowledge and experience within process/project engineering
An operation professional with very strong technical background and experience. Also to posess stellar interpersonal skills as the jobholder will be dealing with several agencies within and outside the company.
Sound knowledge of operations management, engineering economics, costing
Supply chain process knowledge PO catalyst, PO process and Borstar process (Wet End & Dry End) knowledge
PO market & applications
Fluent in both written and verbal English.
