The U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for position of Supervisory Computer Systems Analyst
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Under the direction of the Deputy Information Management Officer (DIMO) the incumbent servers as the Mission's primary web and Cloud based applications developer, web systems analyst and senior knowledge management specialist.
The incumbent is responsible for the Web Development and design of the look and feel of the current intranet web site and future web sites, recommends and adds new features to existing site, recommends and implements new directions for web development. This entails Systems analysis, web trends analysis, coding, and graphics design, web applications programming, posting and managing of the Embassy's web sites. He/ she is responsible for installing, security and maintenance of the web servers.
The incumbent is the primary administrator of the Embassy Intranet Website and is a backup support for the SBU network.
He/She performs hardware and software installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup, security, and user support.
The incumbent also acts as the document controller for the ISC, he/she identifies the process workflow for all ISC functions, designs forms and documents to be used through these processes, and keeps track for all revisions and modifications for these documents and makes sure that their use are in effect.
Job Requirements
A University degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, or Engineering is required from an accredited university.
Technical training in management and use of ADP system, in particular network computer hardware, application software and telecommunication is a must.
Five (5) years of experience in operation of computer systems, web development and design, and computer networking. Thorough experience in system analysis skills and in designing/developing web enabled applications.
This experience must include extensive hands on experience in professional computer applications such as Microsoft Interdev, Web design tools and Microsoft office
Expert knowledge of web development using a variety of web development softwares mainly SharePoint, Front Page, and Macromedia. Expert knowledge in systems analysis techniques is required.
Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required (This may be tested)
Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of Arabic is required.
Good judgment and managerial skills to work independently and ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
