Key Account Executive, Dubai and Northern Emirates, Emquest
To provide Account Management. on-site functionality, training and support to revenue generating Travel market place customers in order to maximise the number of bookings made through the Sabre reservations systems and limit user reliance on competitive CRS systems, through effective product and account management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Account Responsibility - The Key Account Manager assumes complete account management responsibility, maintains effective client relationships, provides on-site consultancy on improving process efficiency, prospects, and provide automation in order to maximize revenue.
Users – Account manage the targeted customer base through customer engagement, building relationships with various stakeholders, consultative selling, intense onsite training and support to ensure that the agency users are thoroughly confident with the Sabre product suite, and uses our systems as the primary and preferred method of making air, car and hotel bookings.
Products: Maintains technical environment and necessary skills to test enhancement & new products that support customer application and reduce problems. Builds effective new products knowledge through testing before releasing to the market. Provides on-site functionality training with each user to ensure total familiarity and confidence in using the new enhanced product. In turn generating an increase in booking revenue.
User Productivity Growth - Provide user with ongoing individual training, support and encouragement to ensure Sabre booking potential is maximised and that planned user productivity growth targets are realised. Determine market requirements through feedback/surveys/field analysis, develop and implement solutions meeting market requirements by introducing value-added products. Evaluate survey and market feedback towards planning future training and support requirements.
New Business - Measure and track individual & territory in order to maximise profitability and minimise debt recommended appropriate strategy. Plan and implement short term and long term tactical for prospective and targeted clients in assigned territory towards increasing the Sabre user base to match budgeted targets in the retail, corporate, leisure and specialist segments
Account Management - In order to keep competition at bay and increase reliance and dependency on the Sabre systems, the Key Account Manager should essentially liaise closely with the following key travel shop personnel:
Management and Supervisory staff on account performance, account review, account development and claw back
Financial Staff - Maintain regular contact to make sure financial managers are aware of the importance of Sabre to their business and therefore meet contractual obligations.
Product Management - Each key Account manager assumes the duty of a product specialist, being solely responsible in testing, enhancements, problems management and deployment.
Job Requirements
Qualification preferably in Travel & Tourism
Strong Knowledge of GDS Systems (Sabre/Galileo/Amadeus)
Commercial/Sales/Reservations/Ticketing: 5+ Years
Experience in the travel industry (airline and/or travel agent) working directly with automated reservations, fares and ticketing systems
Exposure to Travel Management Company operations
Thorough understanding of reservation systems
Strong Communication skills (written and spoken)
Strong Presentation skills
Strong Analytical skills, data driven decision making
Strong Negotiation and Persuasion skills
Knowledge of Sabre reservation system and experience preferred
Training: Recognised Travel Industry courses
