Relationship Manager - Debt Capital Market, Corporate Banking
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Originate transactions in conjunction with the various Corporate Banking Department Businesses and Units.
Grow relationships with issuer team for synergy opportunities with other Corporate Banking Department products.
Generate fee income for the Corporate Banking Department that would not otherwise be earned without the existence of the DCM unit and experience within the department.
Recommend pricing, underwriting levels and syndication strategy.
Identify and maintain relationship with clients, partners and investors in the financing markets to ensure that the team is fully abreast of market views on pricing and appetite levels for all relevant risk.
Help in all the steps necessary to execute a successful DCM transaction from making customer proposal to completion (documentation signing) and including structure, pricing, customer negotiations, distribution and legal documentation.
Build pipeline & originate deals
Preparation and review of pitch-books in response to the request for proposals (RFPs) for potential debt financing transactions which broadly includes market update, recommendations and rationale for key commercial terms, syndication and distribution strategies
Financial statement analysis, preparation of company profiles and post – transaction assessments
Development of credential presentations, product specific presentations for prospective clients
Syndicate Function – Investors Marketing
Development of the Sukuk distribution platform
Regular contact with investors across various jurisdictions to update them on the market dynamics
Manage pricing discussions with Syndicate counterparties of other banks
Update client on pricing considerations and market trends on a regular basis
Negotiation of mandate letters and term sheets among the lead bank group and with the clients
Conduct detailed due diligence of the client as part of the transaction execution process
Preparation of necessary pricing analysis through Bloomberg and secondary sources
Review Structure & Documents to ensure Sharia-compliant requirements are met by liaising with various parties involved in the transaction such as Dubai Islamic Bank’s Fatwa and Sharia Supervisory Board, Dar Al Sharia, Lead Manager / Arranger’s counsel, client and its counsel
Development of information memoranda, investor presentations and associated client & deal marketing materials
Active communication with Issuers throughout the execution process
Coordination with various internal departments such as credit administration and centralized operations for timely disbursement of funds and settlement post execution of necessary transaction documents
Support senior management during business planning and review presentations
Review of Market Updates
Assist in tracking revenues as well as deal pipeline for the unit
Assist in development of Deal Database and Transaction Comps.
Update of Business Operating Documents for debt products i.e. Sukuk and Syndications
Origination Function - Pitch-book Development and Market Assessment

Job Requirements
Post Bachelor’s Degree. CFA is preferred.
Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets or related activity.
Strong knowledge of local corporate banking market and vision about future direction and market sensitivities.
Solid understanding of credit and market risk as well as distribution risk.
Must have excellent understanding of all business facets and has especially good grasp of DCM and legal aspects which arise during a transaction.
Proven track record in executing capital markets and syndication transactions.
A high degree of initiative and proven track record of team work and of growing business.
