EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Trader - Asset Management
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Ensure the best and fair execution for all mandates across the region.
Follow-up with brokers on orders execution to avoid any errors.
Come up with trading ideas which include derivatives that express different strategies.
Update the orders status on the system on a regular basis.
Communicate flows, rumors, market pulse, trading ideas and technical analysis to the investment team.
Establish relationships with existing brokers to glean their feedback on market flows.
Communicate with brokers in order to receive external sell-side research.
Identify and establish relationships with new brokers in various markets to promote the services and coverage provided to the investment team.
Oversee the settlement of trades with the middle and back offices.
Export executions from the system in order to allow the back office to reconcile/settle the invoices.
Ensure compliance with the firm’s investment and trading policy.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, or a related quantitative field and experience in institutional trading in equities and equity derivatives.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in similar role.
Strong knowledge and experience with all aspects of current trading methods and technologies.
Good knowledge of regional markets.
Strong analytical ability including analysis of intraday stock and market patterns.
Able to make timely and appropriate decisions based on analysis, experience and judgement.
Excellent command of Arabic and English.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
Can identify, recommend and implement solutions for problems. Capable of making timely decisions and anticipating consequences.
Ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
Works well under pressure, and can multi task.
Multi-tasker.
Self-motivated and maintains a positive attitude.
Any other tasks required within the general scope of the department
