HSBC is currently recruiting for the role of Senior Credit Manager
To join our Commercial Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Obtaining, researching and analyzing customer information (financial and non-financial) to prepare high quality and professional applications for credit facilities to meet identified customer needs.
Undertaking the appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for prospective customers.
Support Relationship Managers in ensuring correct identification of customer needs and delivery of tailored solutions, products and services to meet such needs.
Perform all relevant KYC/KYCC checks and reviews periodically to ensure fraud and operational losses are minimized
Ensure timely periodic review of CARMs for the assigned portfolio / pool of Relationship Managers
Adhere to structures and processes in place for management of credit, operational, reputation and regulatory risk.
Ensure credit and operational quality is not compromised in pursuit of revenues and profitability
Manage all relevant documentation, information on relevant systems, coordination with product partners to satisfactorily meet internal requirements and customer expectations
Work effectively in partnership with other CMB teams, product providers and other departments to deepen customer relationships leading to diversified sustainable revenue streams
Attend client meetings as necessary
Ensure all relevant HSBC systems (GRPT, CARM, Client Vision, HUB, etc.) are used effectively
Job Requirements
Good knowledge of Credit and Risk management
Having an understanding of the trade cycle and full suite of GTRF products
Sound knowledge of the Commercial Banking structure, products and services
Appreciation of the changing economic, social and governmental environment in UAE
Knowledge of international business and various industry sectors
Knowledge and experience of using CARM, GRPT, HUB, HFE, Client Vision and other relevant systems.
Experience in a Credit Analyst role
Exposure to and appreciation of a client focussed environment
Exposure to and appreciation of working in a global environment
Experience of professional interaction with financial services customers
Developing professional expertise and credibility within business
Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust, overcoming resistance where encountered
Possess analytical and financial skills
