    HSBC is currently recruiting for the role of Statutory Accounting Manager

    Reporting locally to Chief Accounting Officer (Egypt), the role holder is responsible for managing assigned accounting, reporting functions as well as day to day maintenance of a moderately complex accounting issues ensuring accuracy and adherence with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP), Conducts basic accounting activities and prepares accounting reports or statements. Develops and prepare any required analysis.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Daily revision of all manual entries to income /expenditure accounts and general ledgers along with recording daily loss incidents.

    • Ensure assigned accounting, processing, reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with internal and external policies and procedures.

    • Ensuring general ledger accounts are opened or closed as per the Group standard chart of accounts.

    • Responsible for the intangible assets register in terms of accounting entries and reporting.

    • Responsible of booking and reporting accruals related to local or intercompany/group charges.

    • Handle the recovery of charges related to services made by HBEG to other inter regional entities through invoice issuing, payment follow up and ending revenue allocations.

    • Handle month-end process including journal entry preparation or approval and ensures accuracy in financial reporting figures.

    • Contribute in preparing financial statements and related disclosures in conformance to Bank requirements, government regulations and applicable laws.

    • Coordinate with site / Regional Counterparts / Central Bank / External auditors on new Financial reporting requirements.


    Job Requirements

    • Excellent knowledge of reporting system/ processes and the interface between HUB and HSBC Management Information systems.

    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems (e.g. HUB, Hyperion IR, Saracen).

    • Strong Knowledge of Group and Local Accounting standards.

    • Good knowledge of Group charts of accounts /banking products

    • Good change management knowledge/experience in system implementation and process improvement projects.

    • Strong communication and analytical skills.
