Job Description
The role of a Cargo Operations Officer is to monitor smooth cargo operations at the station, ensure strict compliance to IATA regulations, maintain on time performance, interface with Sales/GSA to GHA, coordinate with customer service/ cargo claims department at Head Office, investigate safety and security incidents, and report them within defined timeframes. This includes monitoring and developing adherence to regulations, maintaining on time performance, coordinating with customer service/ cargo claims department, handling discrepancies and administrative issues related to the station/region, and investigating safety and security incidents.
Job Requirements
Minimum of High School qualification with at least 4 years of job related experience in air freight industry. Previous supervisory experience, ability to delegate and motivate staff, knowledge of warehouse and ramp handling, Dangerous Goods regulations, live animal regulations, IATA and perishable cargo handling, load control and loading of freighter aircraft.
