Job Description
Kuwait Airways is recruiting for a Traffic Officer - DOH in the Ground Handling Department. The role involves specialized clerical and technical duties related to passenger check-in and handling at KU or other carrier counters. This includes checking in passengers and baggage, issuing excess baggage forms, collecting cash or credit card receipts, and checking passports for validity and visa. The role also liaises with immigration authorities at Kuwait Airport to facilitate clearance of passengers, cabin and deck crew, KAC, and other carriers' flights.
The responsibilities of the Traffic Officer include checking in passengers and baggage at KU or other carrier counters, issuing excess baggage forms, collecting cash or credit card receipts, and checking passports for validity and visa. They also arrange for transitting passengers, preparing passenger manifests, closing flights, and preparing Passenger Transferring Manifests.
The responsibilities of the Traffic Officer include checking in passengers and baggage at KU or other carrier counters, handling passports, ensuring passenger entitlements, issuing refreshments and meal vouchers, receiving unaccompanied children, and arranging for guardian pick-ups or escorts. They also issue excess baggage forms and receive payments, liaise with Airport Immigration and Security Authorities, and unload passengers and baggage using blacklisted names provided by Immigration.
The Traffic Officer may be assigned to any other unit of Passenger Services on shift, carrying out all duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum requirements include 12 years of secondary education, 2 years of airline airport operation experience, 1 year of specialized traffic handling training, and good English knowledge.
